Change is afoot for the education system, as the Obama administration looks to set new expectations for students. Governors and state education officials are working to provide a framework for what it means to be college-ready and recently proposed a draft of new standards for K-12 public schools. And lawmakers are waiting to hear about plans to rewrite or reauthorize No Child Left Behind. SmartMoney Magazine s Reshma Kapadia spoke with Education Secretary Arne Duncan to learn about the administration's initiatives to better prepare the nation s youth for college and the workforce.
