Under no circumstances will I give up my green AMEX card; the article does not point out that "advance planing" is the key to paying off, not issuing a complaint about a card where pejudice is shown. At all times when it is time to pay PAY don't complain because you "changed your mind" and decided to charge aftr the closing date. No Pre Spending Limit is "pay in full each moth" when your billing cycle ends. This hs been the method of payment ever since I have had the card, not to "make a choice"
If you do not like the AMEX GREEN CARD do't attempt to sway those who use them with a plan. I also have checked my credit file, nothing was tampered with; this is a "journalism opinion.
I have been a happy member since 1990; I do not appreciate the actions of anyone who cannot plan ahead to avoid what was written. Lastly, you failed to write on the fact that a chargeback on AMEXs part is done by them to send the paperwork to the merchant in question; a tempory credit is posted to the a...(Read more of this comment)ccount, and written inforation is sent to the cardmember; with a Visa, Mastercard, or Discover, you must complete paperwork to receive the chargeback!

I have a Teal AmEx card. I pay no fee, I get airfare points, hotel perks and ease of online payment. I pay it off every month. So I use Visa Signature, a low interest, no fee card, but yes, if I'm late the rate hikes and drops abit only if I pay 6 months in a row ontime.
To many believe they are entitled to a low rate, because they make a lot of money. NO NOT SO. Pay promptly on the money you barrow. Don't live like your rich, if you really where rich, you could pay cash for it.
