Interesting article. Another issue facing many Sandwich Generation caregivers includes helping with grandkids as well. A definite joy but one that adds to all the other issues.

One suggestion I would add to this particular article is to look into the local community college for the college students. Not only will they get an excellent education at much more affordable costs, they will save quite a bit living at home. On top of that, they are then available to join in the family caregiving to occasionally help out, which will be a big help to their parents and grandparents, as well as instill important character qualities into them. We've done it and found it to be a definite win-win option! :)
