Let's see: George W. Bush reduced taxes & his approval rating is in the 28%. Congress was taken over by 'tax & spend' Democrats & 6 months later their approval rating is around 14%. Seems to me that this bunch of Donkeys had better find a way to generate favor with the electorate or get the hell out of office. TAXES are bad for consumers and the economy, they only benefit the idiots on Capital Hill who can't control their hunger to spend. NO TAXES on anything until we see some SPENDING CUTS.

I am retired. A reduction in payroll taxes will not benefit me.

As a skeptic, I feel that if you give Congress an extra dollar in taxes, they will spend it on pork, not what it is intended for.

How does anyone except a politician managinging the funds benefit from this tax? The working public pays out the money in higher prices and gets a payroll tax rebate. How much money do we waste writing worthless legislaton like this? How about using that money for true tax rebates or to fight global warming. Wait, then we wouldn't need all of these politicians sucking up our tax dollars for more trading of money from one account to the other.
