I totally agree with you about ethanol being a big scam. I've coined the phrase SCAMANOL to reflect the true nature of this pathetic bilking of the American taxpayer. The whole purpose of SCAMANOL is to enable either party to garner the U.S. farm vote. period.

To cater to this relatively small but powerful farm lobby of say 6,000,000 farmers, 6 billion people around the world now have to pay higher prices for meat, bread, poultry, vegetable oil, etc. Mass food riots and starvation all around the globe are the consequences of this corrupt scam that nobody is doing anything about.

It's pathetic.

Once we have the technology to convert cellulose to ethanol, fine, then 'bio-fuel' makes sense. But now it's actually 'food-fuel' with the intent to increase the farm vote and not to decrease the America's addiction to oil.

What a SCAMANOL.
