Why can't I view the Map of the Market?

It's possible that you did not enable Java. Follow the instructions below to enable Java:

Netscape 3.x for PC:

1. From the Options menu, select Network Preferences.
2. Select Languages and check the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript options.
3. Click OK.

Netscape 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x for PC:

1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
2. In the left pane, select Advanced.
3. In the right pane, check the Enable Java and Enable JavaScript options.
4. Click OK.

Internet Explorer 3.x for PC:

1. From the View menu, select Options and in the window that appears, click the Security tab.
2. In the Active Content box at the bottom of the page, make sure all boxes are checked.
   (Note: You can also click the Safety Level button and select Medium to prevent warning-message interruptions).

Internet Explorer 4.x for PC:

1. From the View menu, select Internet Options and then click the Security tab.
2. Click the Internet icon to select a Web content zone.
3. Next, click Custom Level and in the Security Settings window, scroll down to the Java category.
4. In Java Permissions, uncheck Disable Java and select either High, Low or Medium Safety.
5. Next, scroll down to the Scripting category.
6. Select Enable for both Active Scripting and Scripting of Java Applets.
7. Click OK.
8. In the Internet Options window, click Apply and then OK.

Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x for PC:

1. From the Tools menu bar, select Internet Options and then click the Security tab.
2. Click the Internet icon to select a Web content zone.
3. Next, click Custom Level and in the Security Settings window, scroll down to the Java category.
4. In Java permissions uncheck Disable Java and check either High,Low or Medium Safety.
5. Next, scroll down to the Scripting category.
6. Select Enable in Active Scripting and in Scripting of Java Applets.
7. Click OK.
8. In the Internet Options window, click Apply and then OK.

Internet Explorer 4.x and 5.x for Mac:

1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
2. Locate the Web-Browser category (near the upper-left-hand corner) and click Web Browser if it is not already open.
3. Click Java and make sure that Enable Java is checked.
4. Click OK.

Netscape 4.x for Mac:

1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
2. Locate the Advanced category from the navigation box on the left and click Advanced.
3. Make sure that Enable Java and Enable JavaScript are checked.
4. Click OK.

Use the drop-down list directly above the Map data to select one of the following three options:

1. Headline Icons: Displays an N on a rectangle to indicate that there are news available for a given stock.
2. No Headlines: Removes all N indicators from the Map, so that there are no news displayed at all.
3. Full Headlines: Automatically displays the news for any given stock in the Map.
