My phone has been ringing off the hook this week with calls from my institutional clients. They're not calling about the rally in the dollar. They're not calling about a possible recession in Europe and Japan. They're not calling about the housing crisis or the subprime crisis or the inflation crisis or the energy crisis.
They're calling to talk about a person I'd never even heard of a week ago. They want to talk about Sarah Palin.
Why do hedge-fund managers and mutual-fund managers controlling trillions of dollars want to talk about the governor from Alaska? Because they think she might be the key to the presidential election that's now just two months away. And they think that election might be the key to the stock market and the economy.

Just to be 'Fair and Balanced'.... as of today 9/29/08 the S&P 500 is down about 12% from Luskin's great call on Palin's being the 'Savior of the Stock Market'
What a ticket that would be....Palin/Luskin.....BrainPower Inc. !!
oops. the correct word is 'presidential'
Obama had no clue who he should pick for VP. The DNC picked Joe Biden for him.
The DNC did not want Hillary for Pres., because they didn't want her husband in the WhiteHouse again. They didn't want to lose women voters that detested her because she put up with his womenizing prior to and during their stay in the WhiteHouse. So vote for the candidate you want in the WhiteHouse, be cool
and when the economy comes back up the candidate who wins the presential election will be credited with the recovery even if he had/has nothing to do with it... Thats the way it has always been.. LUCK...

A Moose in the Headlights... did you see the CBS Palin interview? WOW.... This woman is simply a fool. One can easily see why they have kept her in 'wraps', and not allowed her to speak to the press.
Now I understand you republicans must make excuses for her... but to all Independent voters.... to all thinking people... You cannot in good conscience allow this person be one heartbeat from the Presidency.
Are you daft? McCain's 'judgement' has us spending $10B/month looking for WMD? Does he even know what 'success' in Iraq means? Imagine if we spent $10B/month on schools: how powerful an economic force we would be with such an educated work force?
Our country cannot afford more spend-spend-spend of the Republicans! (yes, this makes the rich richer ...but read the news, every one else is getting poorer...)
