To Oregon 1: stop blaming everything on Bush. FDR started this mess with the FHA,Carter added to it by allowing 0% down home loans and Clinton finished it off by signing the repeal of Glass-Stegall.
Sorry TxRagger and the rest of you for coming across so fowl. But really we should try to stick to the question and hand and simply discuss things within that realm. And yes I have heard Lou and generally don't reply to these questions anymore because people simply cry about things not working their way. Ultimately we should all be smart enough to change our own thought patterns to make money in this market and not stubbornly say my way is the only way while losing his/her shirt.
Yea Tx, stick to the subject. Aparently Oregon doesn't know Lou, the master of twisting any poll subject into a political diatribe. Or maybe Oregon reserves his/her objections for those who have an opposing viewpoint?
President Obama raised the expectation that he would save our economy, after he talked down the economy during the election. The Stimulus bill is a bad bill in my opinion. Borrow then Spend, pork, waste, political payback, spend and spend in not a good plan.
FYI, I was not a fan of President Bush during his second term.
"A new power structure", that is food for thought.
Tx Ragger would you please stop interjecting your comments about our president. He has been in power all of 10 days or so. It is quite obvious to most that it was your boy from Tx that has driven this nation to its knees. We now have a new power structure that might care about people more than oil and you will simply have to deal with that fact or leave this country. By the way please simply stick to the question at hand and stop you diarrhea of the mouth.
The economy may be healing itself without the dems stimulus (liberal wish list). There is still pain to come.
The deficit spending may actually lengthen the depression.
Obama's spokesman told us today, not to question how the stimulus money is spent but to look at the goal. It was a waste of time to watch the news conferrence.
Don't look behind the curtain, the Messiah may just be a liberal Chicago machine politician.
Unemployed again, but looking for a good bargain on a home.

I'd buy a new house in a heartbeat if I could only sell mine!
I am living in Eugene Oregon where prices have really not dropped at all. Homes are still 250K or so. Although my job security is high (working for the University of Oregon) my income is no where near enough to own a home. Oh well I have plenty of money to buy stocks and enjoy life.
The stimulus is about to pass the House. Acorn gets money for mortgage mediation (political payback?). $600 million for new cars for the federal government. There is no overall plan. No one knows if it will work. This is just a wish list for the Dems and liberals. even the tax cuts look like welfare payments to people that don't pay income taxes. No AMT relief, that will be added later. One party government is expensive.
No new home unless it is a 5th wheel to live in. Anything to stop the theives in the goverment from getting more tax money and giving it away. Bailouts, TARP and 825 BILLION is up for vote today,,,we have lost control of this country AND in this package is sod for the Washington Mall. ???!!!!!
