Great observation Kodydogg.
Total control of congress is what the liberals desire. Congratulations to the 11 dems in the house that stood for fiscal restraint.
Lou, which team does Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire play for, the Cards or the Steelers?
You guys always crack me up.
I always root for the underdog and while I don't think they will win I will nevertheless be pulling for Arizona.
Good question Lou! I heard that today and at first blush I was impressed with the show of bipartisanship. The thought did occur to me that it could be windowdressing. However, upon further investigation I am impressed with the Machiavellian thought process behind this potential choice. I don't suppose to know what goes on behind closed doors, but the fact of the matter is Sen. Gregg is a republican in a state with a democratic governor. Replacing one republican senator with a democrat gives a fillibuster proof majority in the senate!

Hey folks I have a question for you, what do you think about the report that President Obama is considering republican Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire for a Cabinet appointment as head of the Commerce Department. Senior Democrats said the New Hampshire senator is among those at the top of a list for the job, although they emphasized that no move was imminent. They spoke on condition of anonymity because no decision has been made and they were not authorized to discuss the administration's thinking. "I am aware that my name is one of those being considered by the White House for secretary of commerce, and am honored to be considered, along with others, for the position," Gregg said in a statement. "Beyond that there is nothing more I can say at this time."
I am curious what you think.

Kodydogg - Thank you for the explanation, I understand where you are coming from much better now. We are cool! :)
Lou, you give me too much credit. I do admit that the writer of that piece is a little to jaded in his prose, but what really made me stop and think is the cycles of Sprinsteen's popularity and how they seem to coincide with his support for a new cause. I am not convinced like the writer, but had to consider the notion that Bruce's efforts are spurred on by something other than belief in the cause. Yes, I am a capitalist and would further commend anyone who lends their skills to any cause that they believe in, but if the efforts are hypocritical and made solely for personal gain that would be despicable. I am not "showing contempt for anyone who does not share my beliefs". That is still your realm. I am showing contempt for hypocrissy. IF Bruce truly believed in each cause he championed then he is above reproach. Just as I do not disparage you for your belief in President Obama, it is not the support for Obama that makes me wonder about Springsteen. I guess should have put a disclaim...(Read more of this comment)er on my first post that I do not share the vitriol of the author of the linked article.(Show less of this comment)

I am predicting Arizona Cardinals will win and won't even need the 7 points spread to do it.
Kodydogg. I thought it was said I am the 'master' at making 'any' poll question political. But you take the cake!!! I love it! I give up! You are now 'the master' by suggesting providing folks with the link to "The audacity of Bruce Springsteen." I went to the site and felt, what is wrong with an artist (that is what he is) using their craft to promote their beliefs and profiting from it? I thought you were a capitalist? I thought you for free speech? I have no problem with what the writer of the webpage calling it 'audacity,' because it does take a lot of courage to stand up to folks that want to divide us instead of unite us all as Americans. I see Bruce as an artist using his ability and God given talent to say whatever he wants to say. Free speech is still all right here in America, isn't it? Making a huge profit or getting paid well is still acceptable here in America, isn't it? But y...(Read more of this comment)ou go ahead and show contempt for anyone who does not share your beliefs. The last time I checked, you are still entitled to your opinion here in America. (Show less of this comment)
Right on I voted Bruce too. You have to respect nearly 40 year in Rock-n-Roll. Mark my words Warner gets knocked out early by the great Pitt Def, but Leinart comes in to manage the game and puts up a few big plays to win a close one. At least it would be entertaining.
Peas'
No matter who wins the game, it'll be Bruce that comes out on top. I never really thought of it until I read http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/rhunter/2009/01/27/the-audacity-of-bruce-springsteen/
