Dan Burrows joined SmartMoney.com in February 2007. Before that, he was a reporter at MarketWatch, where he wrote about a range of companies and industries, and his work appeared in The Wall Street Journal and across other Dow Jones properties. Prior to MarketWatch, he was an assistant financial editor and reporter at Women's Wear Daily, where he covered the retail and wholesale apparel, beauty and textile industries. In his career, he's had writing stints at Boston, Time Inc.'s FYI and Spy magazines, and has freelanced for Esquire and Maxim, among other publications. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in history from Oberlin College and a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
