Updated on February 8, 2008.

Impact: Cut the amount of junk mail you receive, and each year you'll save two trees and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 92 pounds.

Very very sad that no mention at all was made or human power vehicles; bikes, trikes, velomobiles. Fine with me- what I save with my trike I can register, license, have a smog or safety test done, afford parking and storage for my portable solar collecter or portable windmill.......

all the ideas on one page would be nice. I made it to 3 and said. enough. Im not reading them all... too much clicking for me. lol

hey, I think this save the planet junk is way over rated. how about sell your car? don't use electricity? don't generate trash that will fill the landfills? Unless your six feet under, we all do stuff that will impact the planet... nothing we can do about it. Fact of life...

Some of the ideas mentioned are not very practical while many practical ideas are not mentioned. One way we can help the environment is by refilling printer cartridges. In the U.S., over 500 printer cartridges are thrown away every minute. By taking them to a refill center, like Cartridge World or Island Injket, consumers save money and save the environment.
