By 2030 all of the park's namesake glaciers could be gone, according to the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Rocky Mountain Climate Organization. While these organizations don't claim to know all the harm that could be caused by the disappearance of the ice fields, one concern is a devastating increase in forest fires. Glacier National Park is home to more than 700 miles of hiking trails, 762 lakes and the famed Going-to-the-Sun Road, which offers a scenic drive over the Continental Divide.

The water level at Lake Mead is decreasing. And here I thought it had to do with it being used as a water supply for an over populated desert. But, it's cause the glaciers are melting? Of course, it all makes sense now. Global warming was just created to give some researchers government grants (your tax dollars) and something to do. I am disappointed to see such a story linked here, what is this CNN?
'I need some of that magic pixy dust people take to hide from that gobal warming is occuring.'
Seems there's no short supply of Angel Dust for the global warming marxists..lol
I am so glad to see so many informed comments about this inane article. Hopefully Al Gore will gradually melt away. Thanks.
Some people need to stop watching Al's movie. His science is about as accurate as his vote counting. Some decades it's hot some cold. Some times it rains a lot some times it doesn't. I believe the technical term for that is cycle. Should we be good stewards of our land? Of course. Should we do it to the detriment of our country? Hell no.
Maybe I'll start panicking when the Bahamas or some other top tourist destination is in trouble (burning up?). Can we (SM) post some real stories on here and not environmental alarmism?
